"When the tongue speaks, the heart keeps silent; when the heart speaks, the tongue keeps silent.”
Creative flows and meditation energized the group today and allowed participants to concentrate less in their mind-space and connect and feel more in their heart during the Mind to Heart workshop.
The heart is like a grain of corn, we are like a mill; how does the mill know why this turning? The body is like a stone, and the water its thoughts; the stone says, "The water knows what is toward.' The water says, 'Ask the miller, for it was he who flung this water down.' The miller says to you, 'Bread-eater, if this does not turn, how shall the crumb-broth be?' Much business is in the making; silence, ask God, that he may tell you.

Inspired by the wise words of Rumi the group went on to create and illustrate their feelings. Giving words to their art resulted in new Embrace Circle poetry. Evolving from fear based thinking to calmness and love.
Group 1 Poem
The path I must go searching for peace, the mind a big question mark
I am Overwhelmed!
The troubled mind and the confused heart
The duality: less peaceful and peaceful
Playing a mind game of tennis in a green court with myself.
A bird flying under Golden rays. Approaching sunrise?
Unanswered questions.
My questions will be answered when I open the door.
In a pink vase I feel love, hope, joy
Dance of air and fire
Opening my heart to new colors of the world
A colorful mandala in harmony
A perfectly working heart in good health full of love, heavy but grateful for the moment
Searching for peace, the puzzled jigsaw I see repeats in your heartbeat
My heart, an angel with blue and red wings
I am enjoying this present moment, opening my heart to new colors of the world.
Group 2 Poem
From a closed door to a large window, a lit path
There is rhythm in chaos.
My mind was an unanswered question
In the mind’s sea, calmer more peace
Question. Don’t question. My heart was racing.
The heart was strengthened and emboldened with hope, love then safety
My heart is filled with nurturing sun rays
It feels like love bubbles
I´m not alone...there are more souls flying and soul angels around me, with me
I feel relaxed, energized, and at ease
Less dense, more contained
I feel connected and open
No need to worry about the future, because I'll find my way, as I always do, with my heart and mind
Love, love and more love to give
(given courage and confidence to do something)
Give back to me; a new feeling, rewarding self
